Western Plains Economic Development Region Business Survey

Dear Business Manager/Owner.

Our Council is delighted to be involved in an exciting new project which aims to provide vital infrastructure to activate our regional economy and support local jobs and small businesses. As part of the NSW Governments Growing Local Economies Fund Coonamble, Cobar, Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Warren and Walgett Councils is working with NSW Government to develop the Western Plains Regional Economic Development Strategy. B ounded on one side by the Warrumbungle National Park, and on the other by the Western Plains and Macquarie Marshes, our area offers the perfect combination of a rich history and country living. The shire is part of the NSW State electorate of BARWON and the Federal electorate of PARKES.

Part of the Orana region the shire comprises the towns of Coonamble and Gulargambone with the village of Quambone. Less than two hours drive by road from Dubbo and six hours from Sydney. There is also a daily service with Countrylink.
