There are currently two positions vacant.
CONSTRUCTION FINAL TRIM GRADER OPERATOR
Council requires the successful applicant to be a self motivated, hard working individual who is competent in operating a range of plant, machinery and equipment used to carry out bitumen road construction, rehabilitation, maintenance and improvements and is able to undertake manual duties related to this field.
To be considered for this position you will be able to demonstrate the following key qualifications, skills and experience:
- Knowledge of road construction techniques including installation of drainage structures and bitumen sealing.
- Ability to final trim to design levels.
- Knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of plant, equipment and heavy vehicles.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to show initiative, be adaptable and reliable.
- Hold an unrestricted HR drivers licence is desirable.
The position has been evaluated as Grade 5 in accordance with skill descriptors in the Local Government (State) Award 2007, entry level being $790.86 per week, plus allowances.

PROJECT / ASSET ENGINEER
The Coonamble Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated Project/Asset Engineer. The successful applicant should have formal qualifications in engineering and ideally experience in local government.
The position will be offered on a five-year performance based contract reporting to the Director of Engineering. Remuneration is negotiable with a package value in the vicinity of $90,000 available to a suitable applicant. This includes 9% superannuation, a car, and a house (subject to availability) with subsidized rental.
